Dear Netscape Canada Member,
Thank you for being a subscriber to Netscape's online services.
We are committed to clearly explaining our policies, and ensuring that our subscribers are aware of any changes to those policies before they take effect. That's why we want you to know that we're planning to perform an update to our Terms of Service, effective on March 20, 2008.
The updated Terms of Service will not result in any material changes to your services, including your online experience, your price plan, or your online access. These changes will also not affect your substantive legal rights or obligations as a subscriber with respect to your service charges, terms or methods of payment, or your legal remedies.
We last updated our Terms of Service in 2001, yet the online world, technology, applicable laws, and our business have all continued to evolve since that time. By updating our Terms of Service now, we hope to better reflect modern business practices and policies as well as to better serve our community of subscribers and business partners.
These changes will however allow us to communicate with you more effectively, to respond better to the needs to our licensors and suppliers, and to safeguard copyrighted material and other digital information on the Internet. The updated Terms of Service will also better reflect the expanding array of products and services available to you from Netscape, and the global nature of our business. A copy of the updated Terms of Service, which will be effective as of March 20, 2008, is available for your review by clicking here. As our business continues to evolve we will update these Terms of Service from time to time, and you should check www.join.netscape.ca frequently for the most current version.
There is no need for you to take any specific action relating to these changes, because it will happen automatically. Just by continuing to be a Netscape subscriber and using our online services, you are accepting and agreeing to the updated Terms of Service.
We are extremely grateful for your business, and we will continue to work hard to earn it.
